พุทธศาสนาสอนมนุษย์ทุกคนว่า ทุกสิ่งบนโลกใบนี้ล้วนแล้วแต่เป็น “อนัตตา” คือความไม่มีตัวตน อย่าคิดอย่าปองว่าทุกสิ่งเป็นของตน แม้แต่ร่างกายที่เราว่าเป็นของเราแต่เรายังไม่สามารถบังคับให้ไม่เจ็บไม่ป่วยได้ แล้วนับอะไรกับมนุษย์และสรรพสัตว์รอบกายของเราเล่า เขามีจิตใจมีความคิดมีความรู้สึกต่างๆ ตามแบบฉบับของมนุษย์ทุกคน เราไม่สามารถไปกำหนดให้เขามาดำเนินตามเส้นทางที่เราขีดไว้ให้ได้อย่างแน่นอน “สัพเพ ธัมมา อนัตตา สรรพสิ่งเป็นอนัตตาบังคับบัญชาไม่ได้” เพียงแค่อ่านข้อความนี้ก็ไม่ต้องมีคำนิยามใดๆลงมาพ่วงท้ายก็เชื่อว่าหลายคนสามารถตีความข้อความนี้ได้ถูกต้องอย่างแน่นอน ฉะนั้นเรามาสร้างสิ่งต่างๆ รอบกายเพื่อให้เป็นมิตรที่คนเขาเรียกว่ามิตรภาพที่ดีแก่ตัวเรากัน
มิตรภาพไม่ได้จำกัดอยู่ที่เพื่อนที่เดินไปโรงเรียนหรือที่ทำงานแล้วเจอกันเท่านั้น เพื่อนหรือมิตรภาพนี้ยังหมายถึงสัตว์เลี้ยงของเรา ที่คอยเป็นเพื่อนเล่นกับเราเวลาที่เราเหงา หรือแม้แต่เสาไฟที่คอยส่องแสงสว่างในช่วงเวลากลางคืนที่คอยเป็นเพื่อนที่ดีให้กับคนขับรถอีกด้วย ไม่มีที่ไหนที่เราจะไม่พบคำว่ามิตรภาพ หากมองดูแล้วมันมีความหมายมากกว่าคำนิยามตามพจนานุกรมแน่นอน หลายคนก็หลายความคิดแตกต่าง มิตรเป็นสิ่งที่ยั่งยืนในความหมายของมัน แต่ในทางกลับกันมิตรภาพกับเป็นสิ่งที่ไม่จีรังเอาเสียเลย เราลองมองรอบกายตัวเองดูแล้ว รอบกายของเรากลับไม่เคยเหมือนเดิมเลยสักวัน เหมือนกันการเดินทางที่ไม่มีที่สิ้นสุด ที่แต่ละวันเราต้องเปลี่ยนคนรู้จักร มิตรภาพ การเดินทางไปเรื่อยๆ แต่ภาพของมิตรภาพความทรงจำเก่าๆก็ยังติดอยู่ที่ตรงนี้ที่เรียกว่า จิตใจ
ช่วงเวลาที่หลายคนเรียกมันว่า “จุดเปลี่ยน” วัยไหนๆหรือวันไหนๆก็มีจุดเปลี่ยนกันทั้งนั้นไม่มีใครสามารถล่วงรู้อนาคตที่จะเกินกับเราได้ เราทำได้ดีที่สุดเพียงเดินตามอย่างระมัดระวังเท่านั้น จุดเปลี่ยนนั้น ต่างศาสตร์ต่างความคิดกันไป ตามกฎหมายแล้วเมื่อถึงอายุที่กำหนดก็จะเปลี่ยนสถานภาพ จากเด็กหญิงตัวเล็กๆเป็นนางสาวเพียงข้ามวัน แล้วเปลี่ยนเด็กชายเป็นนายโดยไม่รู้ตัว แต่ถ้าตามระบบการศึกษาก็คือเปลี่ยนทุกปีที่จบการศึกษาคือปีก่อนยังเป็นนักเรียนชั้นม.5 แล้วปีนี้ไหนกลายเป็นชั้นม.6 แล้ว รวดเร็วเหลือเกิน สิ่งที่ผ่านมาสอนอะไรเราบ้าง ทั้งความสุข ความทุกข์ อารมณ์เหงา ดีใจ ซาบซึ้ง สิ่งเหล่านี้ล้วนสอนเราผ่านคำว่ามิตรภาพทั้งนั้น
หลายคนอาจเจอมิตรภาพที่ดีมาโดยตลอด กับอีกบางคนที่เจอแต่มิตรภาพที่หลอกลวงอยู่ตลอดเช่นเดียวกัน คนเคยกล่าวว่าเพื่อนเป็นกระจกส่องถึงตัวเรา ก็เหมือนเราอยู่ใกล้ใครคนคนนั้นก็จะเริ่มเปลี่ยน เราก็เริ่มเปลี่ยน จนคล้ายจะเป็นคนที่มีนิสัยใจคอเดียวกันไปซะแล้ว หากเราเจอแต่เพื่อนที่ดี มิตรภาพที่ยั่งยืน ตัวเราเองก็มีความสุขไปด้วย แต่บางคนเจอเพื่อนที่ดีกลับผลักไสเขาออกห่างจากชีวิตด้วยทิฐิ ต่างๆที่มันเกิดขึ้นกับจิตใจเราด้วยคิดว่าเขาต่างเรา เข้ากันไม่ได้หรอก แล้วเหตุผลสารพัดมารวมกันโดยมิได้นัดหมาย จนสิ่งๆนั้นได้หลุดลอยออกไปจากชีวิต แล้วมันก็เกิดจุดเปลี่ยนตามสถานะภาพของมัน เพื่อนสัมพันธภาพตัดกันไม่ขาด คำนี้ไม่มีใครเถียง แต่บางทีเพื่อนก็ต้องการเวลาในการรักษาจิตใจที่บอบช้ำเหมือนกัน
